-x- Individual Case Study -x-

...Fallout...

Set in London, Fallout stars Lennie James as Joe, a policeman returning to the estate he grew up on to investigate the murder of a black teenager.

Fallout was written as a passionate and powerful reflection on race, law and order in the aftermath of the Stephen Lawrence and Damilola Taylor cases. Fallout has alos been adapted at a time when it has never been more important to understand why some of our youth would arm themselves and commit devastating acts of violence.

Fallout can inspire young teenagers as it can influence those who have commited crimes to step foward, and can also show the outcomes and struggles people ahve to go through after a crime has taken place.

> Represents Youth Culture & Gang crimes in Deprived Areas

Sound .. The music being played also engages the audience as this type of music known as 'Grime' is widely successful and popular to the youth audience, therfore the audience focuses on the lyrics being said throughout the trailer and makes them watch the trailer until the end.

Camera shots.. There are various close up shots on the charcters to gain their emotion and expressions. There also shots focusing on the mise en scene in order for the audience to know what type of area setting the documetary is shot in.

Lighting.. The lighting in this trailer seems to differ in different types of shots. For example the lighting is shown in a dark and dim point when diferent tpyes of violence or negative approaches occur. However most of the trailer shows scenes that are in the day rather than the night, which therfore shows a more clearer and brighter picture of the type of area and setting the film/documentary has taken place in.

Length of Trailer .. 1.18 . A short trailer, showing differnt scenes from the movie with music bein played in the background, compared to most trailers which last 3-4 minutes and show actual recorded scenes from the movie.

Setting.. The setting focuses on typical urban estates in London, but fot this particualr film it was shot in South London. It focuses on deprived estate in London and focuses on where crime often takes place and where abouts they occur. This therfore empathisies how realistic the setting is as it focuses on real life actions that take place in Britain today.

x- Media Awards 2008 -x-

The Three Best Media Productions of 2008 that i personally thought were the best were :

> Concrete Angel
> Silent Pain
> Crime

-x- Silent Pain -x-

The reason why this film was one of my favourites was because i personally thought it went deep into the topic of rape and it showed how much of a drastic effect it has on women. Rape is also not a topic shown across the media today as much as other things are shown e.g knife crime.
Also the interview with a rape victim in the production also portayed a serious note and showed the suffering of rape towards the audience watching.

-x- Concrete Angel -x-

Personally and truthully this was one of my favourites because it involved my cousin Navroop.
However the most favourtie thing i enjoyed about this production was the begining as it told a story and then made the audience want to unfold the truth about what really happened.
Also Curtis was an amazing actor in this productuon and it was a worthy decision in making him the best Actor. Also the make-up used on Curtis when he was in his coffin made it extremely realistic and was well done.

-x- Crime -x-

Last but not least, another favourite production that i really enjoyed was Crime.
The main reason why i enjoyed this production was becuase it reflected into real life of todays society, and i also felt that the audience was much more deicated to the youth today and just how addictive and popular drugs are in the youth culture today.
The production also focused on real life situations rather than rehearsed situations, which therofre raises a much more awareness to what drugs can do to people and jus how deadly and serious they actually are.

!* .. P.I.T.C.H..*!

I am very intrested in using your brand NIKE , as a competion in our fresh new magazine BWBB aimed at 14- 17 year old boys. The NIKE Brand is a very famous and popular brand among this type of age group and this brand will hopefully raise the number of buyers for this maagzine and definatly promote the NIKE brand to a further extent.

The brand will highly benefit from this competition as it will enable young kids with a passion of art and to a certain extent the competition will help some young kids off the streets and allow them to focus on a much more worthy prize and also the fact that one of the best players in the world is invloved in the competion will value your company as more viewers will want to take part in the competition and change will be bought around society today.

Kinfe and Gun crime are major drastic effects surronding this type of age group around England today. This competition that i would like to carry out will hopefully change attitutdes and beliefs among society today.

The prize also that will be recieved to the winner will also have a positive effect. Mainly because the amount of work and effort put into the winning design will be applauded and gain a high source of respect and fame becuase the boot will then be worn by many others around the world.

The overall drastic effect of this competition is

-x- Internet Regulation -x-

-x- Issues Surrounding The Internet.

:) .. One main issue surrounding the Internet would be the impact of illegal downloading such as music, films, images. This reflects to how easy it is to contaminate with the Internet as, people are able to access whatever they want.

:) .. Another issue would be publising your own words or images can cause far too much controversy whether the text or writing is either negative or positive.
For example : An image uploaded by someone may be to graphic or revelaing and would therfore be reported and abolished.
Also a blog or webiste containing negative text about somehting or someone can result to bannig or blocking.

-x- Who would be repsonsible for Internet Regulation?..

:) ... There would be a fresh new organistaion that is fully focused and responsible for internet regulation, mainly because they would be a dependant compmany equipped with restrictions to internet regulation and would have employees focusing on internet regulation and nothing else. The organistaion would block and ban all internet regulation automatically. Children under the age of 14 trying to illegaly download will result of the lack of internet for a week, whereas the age over 14 trying to illegally download will face fines and taking away of computer.
